The Huracan & R8 Platform have a fantastic engine note, but one that’s too muted for most owners.  Utilizing a valve controlled system in theory allows the driver to benefit from both loud & quiet mode operations. 

When we first designed these systems, a common complaint on valved exhausts in general was that there was little to no difference between the modes.  Many companies were simply using straight through mufflers which really didn’t produce much difference.  

After our initial release, we wanted to create more delta between open & closed, so we went back to the drawing board and designed a teardrop shaped muffler, specially chambered & internally designed to create a much quieter exhaust note when the valves are closed.  Paired with our signature Xpipe design, with this setup you get a very exotic, high pitched scream when open, and an OEM-type sound level when closed.
