Aston Martin V12 Vantage, DB9, DBS, Virage & Vanquish 310 Exhaust Manifolds / Headers Inconel 625

$13,995.00

The ultimate Aston Martin V12 Performance Exhaust Manifolds/Headers. Constructed entirely from Formula One Technology Inconel 625. Fits all Model Year V12 Vantage, DB9, DBS, Virage and New Vanquish 310.

The original Aston Martin manifolds as fitted to the V12-engined Gaydon Era cars are extremely restrictive, and are built to a price, sacrificing vital horsepower and torque of which the V8 Vantage is sorely in need. Velocity’s design has been specially tailored to work in conjunction with our 200 Cell Sports Catalysts to bring the 6.0L V12 to its full performance potential.

The Original manifolds include 4 large and extremely restrictive catalyst bricks, as well as very unequal length primary pipes. When the catalysts break down, due to the proximity of the OEM catalysts to the exhaust ports, some cars have been known to suck pieces of the catalyst matrix back into the engine, ruining the combustion chamber and damaging valves and valve seats. Result = an expensive engine repair.

In addition to millimeter perfect equal length primary runners, the Velocity Aston Martin V12 manifolds / headers also feature a fully fabricated merge collector, not a formed/pressed collector which is cheaper, but robs vital power as it does not merge all of the exhaust gas flows equally. See product’s photos to see the knife-edged internal structure, and the level of workmanship and attention to detail that is put into every set of Aston Martin Exhaust Manifolds we produce.

These manifolds / headers were independently performance tested on a Dyno Dynamics rolling road, along with our 200 cell sports catalysts, performance exhaust system and ECU Tune. Known the world over for being the most accurate and consistent dynos, Dyno Dynamics are also known as ‘The Heartbreaker’ because they are notorious for their low-readings. Our customer’s car produced baseline peak performance figures of 409.328 HP, and 398.207 ft/lbs of torque. Following the installation of our manifolds, sports catalysts, exhaust system & ECU Tune, the peak figures were raise to 454.482BHP and 438.438ft.lbs. A gain of 45BHP (11.03%) and 40.5ft/lbs (10.17%)

Given that Dyno Dynamics are notorious for giving low readings, it is important to recognize that these dyno results actually represent greater gains than they would initially suggest. The manufacturer’s stated output for the 2005 DB9 test subject Vantage is 450BHP & 440ft/lbs. A 11.03% & 10.17% increase over these figure would represent gains of 49.63BHP and 44.75ft/lbs.

HP and torque have been improved across the RPM range, leading our test driver (who has plenty of single seater race time under his belt) to say “Definitely need the Traction Control ON!” This DB9, with nearly as much HP as a DBS and an additional 64.75ft/lbs of torque, is now much quicker than a DBS under real world driving conditions.

Similar results can be expected on the V12V, DBS, Virage, Vanquish and later MY DB9.

Updated V12 Version 2 Manifolds & Power Kit 2022We put a lot of work into facelift for this product since our 2014 release. We were happy with the original kits, but it was way back in 2014 when we originally started manufacturing the parts with an external supplier. We addressed some of the concerns about welding of the collectors back in 2016 when we moved from our original supplier to handling things internally, and have made some other changes along the way – switching ceramic coating suppliers back in 2016.So a number of little changes and improvements happened along the way, but over the past winter we were able to revisit this project and make a few additional changes. Just little tweaks here and there to the routing of some of the tubing, and cleaning up a few of the joints & processes. All of those little improvement have added up to some nice gains, and some improved clearances. Our test vehicle was a 2011 V12 Vantage, baselined on a dyno we’ve been using for the last few years that’s super consistent. The end results? +57BHP and +40ft/lbs at peak, with solid gains throughout the RPM range. This represents an increase of 12BHP over the V1 version that we tested several times from 2014-2017.Headers are all supplied with internal & external Ceramic Coating as standard.
