Stage 2 Upgraded Supercharger Belt Tensioner – 3.0L & 5.0L Supercharged Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover Engines

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT PART AND REQUIRES SUPPORTING PRODUCTS AND MODIFICATIONS TO THE OEM TENSIONER BRACKET

As we have continued to push the envelope with the JLR supercharged engines, our extensive datalogging and R&D has revealed the weakness of the OEM supercharger belt drive system.  Our upgraded tensioner to replace the OEM item helps combat belt slip, but under the harshest condition with high heat and load even this upgraded design can experience some slippage.  At the upper limits of performance every little bit counts.

This kit has re-engineered the routing of the supercharger belt drive, allowing a much more efficient routing of the belt.  The tensioner selected works in the opposite direction to the OEM tensioner and wraps the supercharger belt UNDER the upper idler pulley to add belt contact to the supercharger upper pulley.

Our bracket ties into the mechanical vacuum pump location as well as alternator mounting locations to provide a secure mounting position for the new tensioner.

REQUIRES REMOVAL OF OEM TENSIONER BRACKET TO GRIND AWAY MOUNTING FACE FOR CLEARANCE
