Exclusive to VelocityAP from Industry Leaders Darton. Modular Integrated Deck Sleeves are a patented wet-cylinder sleeve system designed by Darton Sleeves to reinforce engine blocks for high-horsepower, high-boost, and large-bore applications.  The individual wet sleeves feature an upper flange. When installed side-by-side (“siamesed” and nested), the flanges interlock and create a solid, high-tension deck surface that stabilizes the top of the cylinders.
This Wet Sleeve design sits directly inside the engine’s water jacket, allowing coolant to flow around the cylinder walls for superior heat dissipation. Â Darton uses Swirl Coolant Technology to create ported cooling channels, directing coolant flow specifically toward the hottest areas of the upper cylinder walls and combustion chambers.
Unlike standard factory cast-iron sleeves (which typically have 30,000 to 40,000 psi tensile strength), Darton MID sleeves are made from proprietary ductile iron rated at around 130,000 psi tensile strength, allowing them to flex under extreme pressure without cracking.
