Set of 4 VelocityAP lowering springs for Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe & Convertible, to reduce the ride height on your car by 7/8", or 22mm.

VelocityAP springs use exclusively high quality, high stress X5K Spring Steel. Although considerably more expensive than regular steel, this new generation steel allows us to further improve upon the original Jaguar F-Type spring design by reducing the amount of steel required in a spring. VelocityAP springs are therefore substantially lighter (by approximately 30%) and reduce the solid height therefore increasing travel. X5K Spring Steel is used in almost all top levels of Motorsport, giving a hugely successful endorsement of its characteristics & proven durability.

In addition to the superior materials, these springs also feature a unique manufacturing process that sets them aside from most OEM & Aftermarket applications - a Tapered Wire Progressive Rate design. The Ultimate in Design. The principle is simple: By using a tapered rather than constant diameter spring wire, our springs achieve a truly progressive spring rate over the length of their compression & travel. The kit comprises four 1-way (double acting) adjustable dampers with Nitron springs. The single adjuster knob affects both bump and rebound together for simple setup and more track-biased use. These shocks have no remote reservoir. All shocks feature adjustable spring platforms for ride height adjustment, plus the front units are also length adjustable to set the ride height whilst maintaining even spring preload (where possible).

This kit includes Nitron's camber and castor adjustable pillow-ball top mounts (where applicable), these eliminate all rubber in the system and so ensure all track inputs are transmitted directly into the damper, maximising wheel control and providing optimum feedback to the driver's finger tips. The adjustable top plates also give the option to increase camber or castor angles for a more track orientated geo setup (for example track day type tyres can permit use of more camber).

This Power Pack was independently tested on a Dyno Dynamics rolling road. Known the world over for being the most accurate and consistent dynos, Dyno Dynamics are also known as 'The Heartbreaker' because they are notorious for their low-readings. Our customer's car produced baseline peak performance figures of 335.5BHP. Following the installation of our manifolds, sports catalysts, exhaust system & ECU Tune, the peak BHP figure was raised to 378.8BHP. An increase of 43.3BHP or 12.9%.

Given that Dyno Dynamics are notorious for giving low readings, it is important to recognize that these dyno results actually represent a BHP gain of greater than 43.3BHP. The manufacturer's stated output for the 4.3L V8 Vantage is 380BHP. A 12.9% increase over this figure would represent a gain of 49BHP, and a flywheel output of 429BHP.

Similarly, torque has been increased by 35-40ft/lbs from 4000RPM onwards, an increase of around 13-15%. The manufacturer's stated maximum output is 302ft/lbs @5500RPM. The true flywheel torque figure on this test car is now likely around 345-350ft/lbs. This is perhaps the most significant area of improvement. Downshifting is now much less necessary in order to access the torque band, and this 4.3L car will now outrun a 4.7L later model car.
